Frequently Asked Questions

How does radio programming work?

All radios need to be programmed with the proper frequencies. We do the programming using Motorola software, which is included in the cost of the radio.

Industry Canada is responsible for issuing frequency licenses to ensure radio systems adhere to government policies and technical requirements, and prevent interferences. We help guide our customers through the application process. Industry Canada directly bills users for the licenses, which costs $41.00 per radio annually.

What if the radio I need isn’t listed here?

As a Motorola Channel Partner, we are able to order pretty much any product that you may need. Please contact us for more information.

I’m new to using radios and am not sure which system will work best for me, what should I do?

Please contact us and we will help you make an informed decision. We will ask you what the radios will be used for; how long of a range you will need to cover; how many radios you may need; and what your budget is.

I’m not sure if we want to purchase just yet, do you offer demos or rentals?

We are happy to arrange a couple of demo radios for new users to try out. Alternatively, we offer monthly rental rates. The benefits? Renting means we manage all the maintenance and ensure you have the newest gear.

I have a fleet of radios that need repair, is that something you do?

We offer repair services for all radios and testing for accessories. Send us whatever you have, we will assess the gear and make suggestions for repair and replacement. We also ensure any obsolete equipment is properly recycled.
